The Utenti Pubblicita Associati (UPA) represents and protects the interests of Italian companies that invest in advertising. Established in 1948, UPA also promotes the interests of advertisers in political, legislative and regulatory bodies.
UPA represents the common interests of all companies that invest in advertising. The association works proactively and energetically to help its members in their advertising activities.
UPA provides its members with valuable intelligence updates and conducts highly acclaimed research through the media research companies it owns and supports. These include Auditel, Audipress, Accertamento Diffusione Stampa, Audiradio, Audiposter, Audiweb and Audimovie.
The Association offers its members several important services, from providing managers with data and information to help them in their decision making processes to free advertising and communications consulting. The Association also supports the Advertising Self-Regulation Institute, which it set up over 40 years ago. The institute ensures that advertising is honest, truthful and correct, that it is an instrument of fair competition and respectful of consumers.
Together with the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice, UPA sponsors the prestigious Master in Business Communications degree, which is now in its eighteenth year.
UPA is a member of the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA), a global organisation representing more than 50 advertisers’ associations on 5 continents and which strives for the development of responsible business communication at a global level.
